Hey, I’m Terry. And if you’ve ever wondered, “Is this God… or just my own thoughts?” — you’re in the right place. Because honestly? Most people aren’t taught how to recognize God’s voice in real life. I’ve spent decades helping people figure that out. And all the while, I've been figuring it out for my own life.

My story (aka: how this all started)
I didn’t grow up Catholic. I was actually raised by a Protestant minister… but during my teen years, I got pulled into things that wrecked my faith because I misread God's will.
And then God stepped in. Like—really stepped in. I encountered the Holy Spirit, and then I discovered the Eucharist was actually Jesus. That moment? It flipped my entire life. (Cue the echoing voices: "Catholics are weird. You never want to go down that rabbit hole.") I soon became Catholic. That was 1977—and I’ve been focused on knowing God's will and doing it well ever since.

What I do now
Fast forward a bit: After landing in the Catholic Church and digging deep to be sure it was God's will, I found my divine purpose and began writing, teaching, and speaking about living the Faith. My husband and I founded Good News Ministries in 1995, and it grew to a staff of five, reaching many thousands around the world. I created daily reflections that help people actually apply Scripture to real life—and this is still going strong. God's will for me: to help Catholics grow in their relationship with God—not just in their knowledge about Him. Because faith isn’t meant to stay in your head. It’s meant to change the world.
In 2025, I retired… and God said, “Plot twist!” Newly widowed, I found myself back at square one asking, “Okay Lord, what now?” Turns out, "retirement" is not a word the incarnate Jesus was familiar with.
So here we are. Now I’m writing books, traveling for speaking gigs, offering myself as a spiritual coach, and attempting to balance my book ministry with the responsibilities of widowhood (like the financial stuff my husband used to do) and the desires of my inner child who expects fun outings. (Work in progress. Pray for me.) I also hang out with my dogs who have decided my hallway is their personal racetrack. Also… if you have a boat, I suddenly feel called to that ministry.

Not because I’m perfect. (Far from it.) But because I’ve walked through confusion, doubt, and wrong turns. I’ve studied theology and served in parish and diocesan leadership. I’ve spent 4 decades helping others grow in faith. And I’ve seen what actually works when it comes to hearing God and following His will.
