God’s help for caregivers: Paula’s story
Are you a caregiver wondering: Am I doing enough? Am I making the right decisions? What if I make a mistake? Such questions can feel especially urgent when caregiving involves medical decisions, your own exhaustion, other family responsibilities, and problems you never anticipated.
Paula Veloso Babadi learned to face those questions while caring for her mother, Violet, through 26 days of in-home hospice. But her story is about more than caregiving and grieving. It’s about learning to recognize the next door God opens, taking the next loving step, and surrendering what you cannot control.
Paula Veloso Babadi also shares her deeply personal story in her memoir, Purple Flower on My Nose: A Memoir of Love, Laughter and Letting Go.

Thank you, Terry, for this video on caregivers, I have learnt a lot, I’m in the same situation, I’m now 67 old but taking care of my elder sister who is 85 years old, she does not have children to care of her only me and my children who support me. so, this touch me and encourage me to continue to take care of her with love that I know God know His will for me by faith and God. I learnt how to be close to her and pray and pray. I really appreciated this video
God bless you, Natalina, for your yes about caring for your sister. It’s exhausting to be a caregiver, so be sure to care for yourself too. It’s wonderful that your children support you. A lot of caregivers don’t have that. God bless your children! He is very pleased with all of you.
